Independence Day Blues
I cannot help but wonder what the original signers of the “Declaration of Independence” would think of us today. With all of our technological advances have we become the better society that they hoped we would be? Have we maintained our ability to live free from the dictates of a King? Have we shunned being dependent upon the government to shelter, clothe, and feed us? Are we continuing to pursue life, liberty, and happiness?
Take this into your spirit man. “When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”
Words mean things. This is the first paragraph of the “Declaration of Independence”. It is not as popular as the rest of the letter, but the signers wanted us to know and understand their intentions. They knew that God intended for us first, to be one people, united under the ideology that we can govern ourselves with God. Second, they knew that tyranny (cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary use of power or control) from England was destroying their ability to live in the freedom God intended. This declaration was deliberate and purposeful.
We must understand that tyranny (cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary use of power or control) from Biden and his administration must be stood against. We must never surrender to the out-of-control government abuses of power that are taking place from the White House, the United States Congress and the United States Supreme Court. The members of these three branches of government have joined together to make themselves like a king over us. Today we face the same tyranny that the signers of the “Declaration of Independence” faced.
We too must be deliberate and purposeful when it comes to reestablishing our covenant connection with God and the signers of the “Declaration of Independence”. We must fight against the political bands that have arisen again to enslave us. We must see that it is the same spirit at work. They stood and so can we. The antichrist spirit hates unity and despises freedom. The antichrist spirit wants us all to be in bondage. We must declare the “Glory of the Lord” over America. We must be as brave as they were. Now is the time to stand against this present darkness.
If we fail to act, America is headed for a darkness that we have never seen before. We must rally ourselves together and stand against the enemy. We have been entrusted with a great gift and we must ensure that future generations of American’s can enjoy the same freedoms that were provided for us. Our fight is against those who seek to destroy us from the inside out. For this year’s celebration of our Independence, remember what we are fighting for. Remember what is at stake. May God continue to bless America as we celebrate 244 years of freedom from tyranny. Selah.
